Attila is a Toronto-based photographer who aspires to produce portraits that are timeless ... past current trends, imperishable. Attila believes that the camera, in its core function, is a tool allowing the photographer-artist to conduct an external, visual study of the subject as a human being with inner character and soul. While he accepts that the soul is necessarily embodied and bound to physical form, Attila insists that, since all human souls are in their essence beautiful, so too must all human bodies, each in their own way. Thus, any images of the human physical form will inevitably manifest and express beauty as such ... despite any imperfections or flaws. And so, every once in a while a photograph will manage to capture that which is sublime, in and of itself ... namely, that core beauty that we all share as human beings who are embodied and ensouled.
In addition to his practice in photography, Attila is a Ph.D. student in philosophy. He is Turkish-Bulgarian and was born in a small town on the Danube; he lives in Toronto with his spouse and two children.
